I was looking around and found this link in another topic on this site.

PLEASE CHECK IT OUT.

It has the SAFETY ALERT I found on the FDA site, and others.

I didn't see a date for these Alerts, I would have thought that would have
been important!!???? The 1st one does have a date in the message, but
none are DATED???

I was just thinking I was never given a manual, it might have helped!!??

Hey thanks for the link. I just noticed the screen freeze alert.  That has happened at my last two doctor's appointments.  I'll have to print it and bring it in to my next appointment.

Hi there to anyone that may read this, I sure hope some one does. I have not found an updated alert on MY vns model concerning what, if any, scans I could possibly have. I did have an xray. Cyberonics has not returned my calls, letters or emails {go figure}. I  have tried other sources like Ep Foundation, big mistake,they are great for some things but when I asked for info on Cyberonics and vns  "we have no information, we suggest you ask your doctor" was their only answer. I asked my epileptologist, she said, "you were given that information by the Cyberonics rep it is your responsibility to stay informed and current on any changes regarding safety issues related to any diagnostic devices that may be an issue to your vns." Here I am trying to make an informed and intelligent decision and finding no help where I would expect to. The info from the FDA is inaccurate and out dated and Cyberonics doesn't respond to calls and my doc says I should have stayed more informed and up to dated. Yes I screwed up and should have stayed up to dated, I'm bad, so give me the damn information and you can cain me later

 Wink Hey suspender!

You are caught up in the typical who, what, where, when, and why's of Cybersucks and their docs.  They do have all that info, and if a doc doesn't want to help keep you educated, then that clearly speaks volumes that this docs desire to help patients is overtoned by money--my honest opinion.

When people run in circles it's a very very mad world...try to remove yourself from their circle and it may be time to find a neutral doc.  Easier said then done in my circumstances.
