Cyberonics Acquires Stroke/Brain Injury Patent Rights
Wednesday December 19, 9:00 am ET

HOUSTON, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cyberonics, Inc. (Nasdaq: CYBX - News) announced that the company has acquired the exclusive rights to three additional patents pertaining to Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) for the treatment of stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
The patents were licensed from Southern Illinois University (SIU). The research underlying the patents was a collaboration of psychology faculty at SIU Carbondale and physiology and neurology faculty at SIU School of Medicine.
